Production: made from virgin, wildcrafted coconut shell charcoal, this powerfully activated charcoal is processed to create an extra fine, light powder with zero grittiness. It is steam activated using water vapour at high temperature (up to 1000C), creating a powerfully adsorptive (adsorption - the ability to bind atoms/molecules to a surface) activated charcoal with a surface area of 1550 - 1600 m2/gm.

This product is "wildcrafted". How does this compare to USDA Organic? Truthfully, it's better. It's the original organic. Items that are wildcrafted are sourced in the wild where there is no checmical exposure, thus is does not fall under USDA organic as to be branded USDA Organic, you must follow a rigid set of protocols in a controlled enviroment.
